Interview Questions
1. How do teamwork and endurance shape your company culture?
Enabel is active in some twenty countries, where working conditions are often difficult, stressful and even dangerous. The safety of our people is always our top priority, but it is not always possible to guarantee it absolutely in countries at war, such as Ukraine and Palestine. In a number of countries in the Sahel, or in the Great Lakes region of Central Africa, the security situation is sometimes very unstable. It is almost impossible to predict whether and when protests will get out of hand or uprisings will break out. In such circumstances, it is crucial and sometimes literally a matter of life and death to have strong teams, with people who trust each other blindly and can rely on each other one hundred per cent. Colleagues who complement each other, who know each other's strengths and weaknesses and who stand up for each other.
2. Why did you choose SD Worx as your HR and Payroll partner?
We choose to work with SD Worx as our social secretariat because they offer a very large and deep expertise. We feel confident about the reliability and the quality of the services they provide. The digital tools of SD Worx are also very user-friendly. The teams are always helpful and reactive whenever we need support. We feel really supported by SD Worx in our payroll matters.
3. What mindset do you believe is key to crossing the finish line — in sports or business?
It all starts with a strong commitment, a shared vision of our raison d'être. Mutual respect is also crucial. Team members must respect and value each other's specific roles and added value, regardless of their background or position. The team is greater and stronger than the sum of its individual members. You cannot buy that conviction; it's a mindset you build up, a culture you nurture every day. Solidarity is equally important. In a well-functioning team, everyone is willing to step in for a colleague to ensure that the team is successful and can celebrate its successes together. And also to deal with setbacks together. We are quite proud of the way our staff has dealt with the crisis in Gaza. How we supported our colleagues from Gaza during their journey to Belgium and their integration here. We were only able to do this thanks to the selfless dedication of many colleagues.
